With over two decades of experience in the field, I bring a strengths-based, solution-focused approach to my work with adolescents, families, and adults. My diverse background spans across school, community, and private practice settings in Washington, DC, New York City, and currently, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
I have a dual Master's degree from Columbia University, with a Masters in Social Work (MSW) and a Masters in Public Health (MPH). I am licensed in Washington, DC as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
Specializing in various areas, I have honed my expertise in family dynamics, grief and loss counseling, anxiety and panic management, depression support, and addressing behavioral challenges. Additionally, I assist clients in navigating life transitions and empower them to achieve their personal and professional goals.
My therapeutic style is direct and affirming, creating a safe and nurturing environment for growth. I use culture, art, and humor as integral tools in my practice. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I bring a multicultural perspective, shaped by my Dutch-Colombian-American heritage.
